While Australia continues to make great progress in responding to the COVID-19 crisis, the AICD intends to maintain a cautious approach and prioritise the health and safety of our staff, members, faculty and visitors. Our services will resume only when we are confident we can meet all the requirements of a COVIDSafe environment.
Resumption of face-to-face courses
In line with national guidelines, our face-to-face courses will gradually resume from 1 July as each State and Territory reaches Stage 2 of the COVIDSafe roadmap - where gatherings of up to 20 people are permissible.
Due to social distancing and room capacity restrictions, our courses will initially be limited to 15 people at most venues. This restriction will be reviewed as each State and Territory transitions to Stage 3 - where gatherings of more than 20 people are permissible.
If you previously elected to defer a face-to-face course, our team of Membership Partners will reach out to you individually to rebook your session as soon as new dates are confirmed.
There is no need for you to take further action at this stage, however if you would like to speak to one of our Membership Partners, you can call 1300 739 119.
Events and Business Centre Member Lounges (BCMLs)
We will gradually open our BCMLs and reschedule deferred face-to-face events as restrictions ease and room capacity becomes available. We will be in touch with further details as dates are confirmed.
For those attending face-to-face courses, strict protocols and safety measures will be in place, including:
- Sanitation stations will be set up across our offices and venue spaces for easy access;
- Social distancing and health protocols will be implemented; and
- The AICD’s staff will continue to work from home if they can, minimising the number of people at the AICD’s premises.
Helping our members through this crisis
We continue to realign our services in response to this crisis. We have seen strong demand for our resources, including more than 200,000 pageviews of our COVID-19 web content, more than 17,000 webinar registrations and record enrolments in our online courses. We are focused on providing practical guidance to support you and your organisation through the recovery, including:
This has been a difficult time for many businesses and their people. The AICD and its staff are no exception. However, we are in a strong position to recover from this crisis and will continue to serve our members now and into the future.
