While Australia continues to make great progress in responding to the COVID-19 crisis, the AICD intends to maintain a cautious approach and prioritise the health and safety of our staff, members, faculty and visitors. Our services will resume only when we are confident we can meet all the requirements of a COVIDSafe environment.
AICD and COVID-19: Information for members, clients, faculty and stakeholders
In light of the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, we are taking a cautious approach to resuming face-to-face activities. This page contains information about the steps we will take as we continue to prioritise the health and safety of our staff, members, clients, faculty and all other stakeholders.
Resumption of face-to-face courses
Face-to-face courses have now resumed in all states. Please see our course calendar for further details.
Business Centre Member Lounges (Lounges)
Our Lounges remain open in all locations, except Melbourne, with limited capacity providing a COVIDSafe environment for our members, guests and staff.
Our Melbourne Lounge will be closed from 3pm, 27 May, until further notice.
If you have cold or flu like symptoms, we ask that you please do not attend AICD premises.
Visit the Business Centre and Member Lounges page find out more about locations, opening dates and Lounge capacity.
Please note capacity numbers are subject to change in line with social distancing requirements.
Access to Lounges cannot be reserved at this time. To avoid disappointment, please phone your local state office on the day of your intended visit and our staff will advise you of Lounge capacity.
Room bookings within our Lounges may be available upon request. Please direct your enquiries to the relevant state office.
Please ensure that you specify any audio-visual requirements you might have at the time of making the booking
The health and safety of our members, guests, stakeholders and guests is our priority. Our lounges will be subject to stringent health protocols, including: capacity restrictions to meet social distancing requirements in each location; complimentary face-masks on-site; and additional cleaning throughout the day in all facilities.
All Lounge attendees will be required to complete a digital sign-in to confirm they meet our COVIDSafe requirements and support effective contact tracing if required.
For those attending face-to-face courses, strict protocols and safety measures will be in place, including:
- Sanitation stations will be set up across our offices and venue spaces for easy access;
- Social distancing and health protocols will be implemented; and
- The AICD’s staff will continue to work from home if they can, minimising the number of people at the AICD’s premises.
