Alexandrea Cannon FAICD

Alexandrea Cannon has experience as a director in the private, not-for-profit and government sectors. She is chair of SATAC Ltd and the Leader's Institute of SA, Chair of the Governance Committee of Credit Union SA, Chair of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee of the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust, and chairs the Board and Audit and Risk Committee meetings for SA Heart Pty Ltd.  

Alexandrea is a former director of One Hood Sweeney, South Australian Country Arts Trust, Queensland Arts Council, and TAFE SA. She also served for five years as a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors State Council.

With a strong business background in international and national businesses in manufacturing, sales, financial services and the arts, she now conducts board performance reviews, assists boards with CEO performance planning and coaches directors, CEOs and executives.
Alexandrea is a practical and pragmatic board director who can influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes, whilst balancing business and people considerations.

Alexandrea is accredited in several coaching and business performance programs and qualified in a variety of psychometric assessment tools. She also holds a certificate in brewing science. Previously she led people and culture management and organisational development at a national level as a senior executive and CEO.  She has managed due diligence and merger integration teams at board and executive levels and been a visiting lecturer at Griffith University and the University of South Australia. 

Recognised as one of Australia’s leading human resource management professionals, influencing the future direction of the discipline at a national level, she was awarded the AHRI Medal for her exemplary contribution.

As part of the workshop there will be a dedicated session on “How to write your Director CV”.  We encourage all attendees to bring their current executive and non-executive director curriculum vitae on the day.
