Dr Nick Fleming GAICD is an experienced company director and executive with expertise in strategy and complex problem solving at the interface of technology, commerce, politics and society. He is the founding director of Innergise Pty Ltd, a non-executive director of South Gippsland Water and the National President and Chair of the Board of Engineers Australia. Prior to founding Innergise, Nick was the Director of Business Innovation for Jacobs Group (Australia), and the Chief Sustainability Officer for SKM, while holding leadership positions in industry bodies. In addition to his director duties, Nick delivers development programs for senior government executives via the ANZ School of Government and the South Australian Leadership Academy. He also provides advisory, strategy and leadership development support to the boards and executive teams of private and public organisations across Australia. Nick’s valuable insights emerge from 30 years of work across infrastructure, mining, natural resources, water, defence and social welfare sectors from Australia to Asia and South America to Europe. He is the author of two internationally acclaimed books, the latest being “Smashing the State of Dumbstuck – How to achieve impact and influence in the future world of work by mastering real-world problem-solving”.
