Armed with the tools and methodologies to encourage a more agile perspective on how your business could strategically operate in what can be referred to as a ‘VUCA’ (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world, you will be able to create an environment and culture to ensure your leadership team can execute an innovative strategy to fuel efficient growth.
Recognising the importance of a comprehensive response to market disruptors and long-term strategy is understood best through experience. This course provides an intensive and safe environment to test assumptions and put theory into practice.
The course operates with the support of a highly skilled and experienced facilitator, a thorough and engaging hypothetical company case study, and a small group of peer directors.

The course is tailored to experienced directors wishing to take their performance to the next level and make strategic decisions in an agile way to suit rapidly evolving markets.
It is required that participants have completed the Company Directors CourseTM, Company Directors Course Update or International Company Directors Course to attend this course. It is preferable but not mandatory for participants to have successfully completed the assessment for the Company Directors Course or International Company Directors Course.

- Apply the learning from the Company Directors Course directly into practice in the context of disruption and innovation.

What can you expect?
The focus of the course is on decision making, board dynamics and re-aligning the board’s mindset and approach to their business in the context of ‘VUCA’. Each table will work in groups as a simulated board. Each ‘board’ will respond to market shifts, devise recommendations and assess strategic shifts and risk appetite, and report back to the broader group.
This course is a full-day course. On the day, participants will work with their ‘board’ to navigate the challenges of a hypothetical company experiencing a significant business model disruption.
An experienced facilitator will lead the discussion at the start and end of the day, as well as through a series of plenary groups and provide expert guidance and support throughout the day.
