Strong female representation on the boards of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander corporations is not new. For as long as ORIC has tracked the gender split among directors through its annual ‘top 500’ report, women have outnumbered men.

We know that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women perform active and significant roles in their local communities, in their home states and territories, and in the Australian nation. To honour these women—and to encourage the next generation—we interviewed some of the most impressive leaders, board members and business owners. The result is a powerful compilation of video profiles reflecting the significant influence of Aboriginal women on Australian business.
