Sarah Barker MAICD introduced the briefing with the climate risk framework consisting of Physical, Economic transition and Liability consequences. The panel was also comprised of Bruce Carter, Chair – Premier’s Climate Change Council and John Nairn, State Manager – Bureau of Meteorology. Our panel spoke about the challenges and the need for strategic risk assessment around the board table. Northern Territory: NT dinner

Last week members and guests from the NT Business Community enjoyed an evening with Carolyn Hewson AO FAICD.

Richard Giles FAICD NT Committee Chairman shared some of the highlights of activities within the NT and then conducted an Up-close and Personal Q&A with Carolyn Hewson.

Feedback was very positive from members – including this in an email the next day ‘ Just wanted to say thank-you for another spectacular dinner. Everything about the event was of a high standard. I enjoyed the warm welcome and my charming table companions. Of course the food and wine was excellent.

As always the speaker brought insights and reflections that challenged and expanded my directorship horizons. It is a highlight of the calendar to meet with like minded colleagues and I cannot recommend it highly enough for ensuring directors have their finger on the pulse of the what is important in the boardroom and in business not only locally but across Australia.
