Victoria: Bendigo Leaders’ Edge Lunch with Robert Johanson

Andrew Cooney GAICD, Robert Johanson, Chairman, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited, Deborah Hambleton GAICD, Angus Armour FAICD, Sally Leake MAICD were amongst 90 attendees at the Bendigo Leaders’ Edge Lunch to hear Robert Johanson reflect on his role and experience as Chairman of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited. Johanson discussed organisational culture and the importance of good reporting on boards, he also shared insights into Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s response to the Royal Commission inquiry and provided some of the organisations key learnings .

This briefing, sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright, discussed how NFPs can plan for and secure long-term financial security, through leveraging assets, fundraising and borrowing strategies. The panel also looked at how to assess your organisation’s purpose, resources and strengths in order to identify the most suitable investment opportunities.

South Australia: 'Class of 2017'

Members of the AICD SA ‘Class of 2017’ renewed connections at our Alumni Dinner, held at the National Wine Centre in Adelaide. Guests enjoyed an interactive panel discussion by AICD facilitators Alexandrea Cannon FAICD, Henry Botha FAICD and Rosina Hislop FAICD, while another highlight of the evening was recognition of Vanessa Boully FAICD’s 10 year tenure as a facilitator.

Last week elected members from across the Territory came together in Darwin to complete 2-day Governance Essentials for Local Government Program. The attendees included Mayors and elected members with a mix of city, regional and remote councils.
