BHP Billiton Vice President (Environment and Climate Change) Dr Fiona Wild MAICD discusses how boards should prepare their organisations for the risks posed by climate change.
Dr Wild is also a member of the Financial Stability Board's Taskforce on Climate-related Financial Disclosures, an industry-led group that aims to develop voluntary, consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures that would be useful to lenders, insurers, investors and other stakeholders. The Task Force considers physical, liability and transition risks associated with climate change and what constitutes effective financial disclosures across industries.
