Prominent WA businesswoman Tracey Horton FAICD has been appointed to the national board of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).

Ms Horton is a non-executive director of education provider Navitas and a Commissioner of Tourism WA. She is also a member of the Australian Government Takeovers Panel.

Ms Horton chairs the Presbyterian Ladies College Council and is the immediate past President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WA). She was Dean of the University of Western Australia’s Business School from mid-2004 to August 2011, and awarded the lifetime title of Emeritus Professor for her service.

“Tracey’s broad international business and education experience will be a significant addition to our national board. Her background in higher education, in particular, will be a real asset to our organisation and enhance our focus on director development even further,” said AICD acting chairman Gene Tilbrook FAICD.

“I am honoured to be appointed to the AICD national board and to help drive its mission of promoting excellence in governance. It is a great opportunity to bring my experience to the leading governance education provider in Australia,” said Ms Horton.
