Are you protected? A close look at your liability as a director

Fish out of water

Directors and officers have a number of duties, responsibilities and obligations and regardless of if you sit on one or multiple boards, you may be exposed to personal liability risk. How effectively can the impact of personal liability risk be transferred by D&O insurance cover?

Interestingly, only 45% respondents from a 2011 AICD member survey believed they had directors & officers (D&O) insurance.

This briefing will look closely at D&O insurance and your liabilities as a director.

  • What does D&O insurance cover
  • What drives the price and what are the terms and conditions
  • Legal limits to D&O insurance and the period that it covers
  • What directors should do to minimise liability
  • Tips to minimise the risk of voiding a D& O insurance policy

Our panel will delve into case studies and recent experiences - the good the bad and the ugly.
