Director Industrial & Organisational Psychology BDO
Scott Way is the founder and Director of BDO Industrial & Organisational Psychology, which is part of the BDO global accounting and advisory firm. Over the past 30 years he and his team have assisted public, private and not for profit organisations across Australia, Asia and the Pacific to enhance the performance of individuals, teams and divisions using evidence based tools and techniques drawn from researchers and practitioners worldwide.
Recent events have highlighted the role of the board in driving appropriate culture and ethical behaviour throughout an organisation.

Culture is easy to talk about but challenging to get a handle on, and it’s important directors set the right tone in the boardroom.  The recent Banking Royal Commission hearings have powerfully raised the stakes on culture, its impact and the role of directors in relation to corporate culture. And with the Aged Care Royal Commission in full swing, it’s vital that boards are focusing on these critical areas of governance.

We invite you to join Anne Skipper AM FAICD – Director, People’s Choice Credit Union, Con Tragakis GAICD –  professional director and advisor, and Scott Way – Director Industrial and Organisational Psychology, BDO, at this Fellows-only event, where they will lead an interactive discussion on the topic of culture and explore key questions that directors need to be asking:

  • Who drives culture – is it the board or is it management?
  • What is your accountability, both individually and collectively, to ensure the board has robust oversight of organisational culture?<
  • How do you build a board dynamic and relationship with management that is open and transparent to ensure the right culture and tone starts at the top?

A hot breakfast will be provided. To register for this Fellow only event please sign into your AICD account.
