Terry is one of the great innovators of Australian agriculture who has had a significant impact on agricultural practices around the world over many years. On this basis the Central Queensland University conferred on Terry the degree of Honorary Doctor of Agribusiness in March 2015.

Terry co-founded Resource Consulting Services over 30 years ago which has set the benchmark for capacity building in rural and regional Australia and has been independently rated as the most trusted source of farming knowledge in Australia.

Terry is also a pioneer in the field of soil carbon and carbon farming, having been committed to research and commercial activity in this area for over ten years. In this capacity he is Chairman of Carbon Link Limited, an agricultural carbon aggregator. Carbon Link was awarded a Commonwealth Commercialization grant of almost $1m in 2016 and was the most innovative business in the region in 2016.

Terry is a Churchill Fellow, a Fellow of the Tropical Grasslands Society, has chaired the Australian Beef Expo, and sat on numerous advisory committees.

Rod has worked for over 15 years with businesses in remote and regional Queensland and the Nothern Territory offering business support and advice. Since 2010 he has been employed as a Business Advisor delivering the Enterprise Connect/Entrepreneurs’ Programme in Far North Queensland and more recently, in Central Queensland.

Rod has extensive experience in business management, IT, marketing, accounting and risk assessment. His main strength is his ability to work with business owners in their own environment to identify growth opportunities and to put strategies in place to allow these opportunities to develop.

Rod has a degree in Corporate Governance, Masters qualifications in Professional Accounting (MPA) and Business Administration (MBA) and is a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Derek is the Managing Director of Tropical Pines Pty Ltd and Deputy Chairman of Growcom – a state industry body for horticulture. As well as a keen interest in the welfare, growth and profitability of all grower enterprises across the industry, Derek has a strong domestic and international background in business management, finance and risk management. He has held the position of CEO & MD, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of The Rock Building Society, Head of Business Services, Head of Information Technology, Head of Operations and internal computer auditor for the Bank of Queensland and Senior Manager with KPMG. He is a member of the Biosecurity Queensland Ministerial Advisory Committee and a Member of the Queensland Small Business Advisory Council.
