Are you interested in joining a board or committee? Join us at our upcoming Directors’ Briefings to find out more about current opportunities within the Northern Territory and how to develop your directorship pathway.

Join experienced NT Director John Cossons, Chair, People’s Choice Credit Union as he explores and shares his experiences of being a Director, his pathway to becoming a professional director and the opportunities on Public Sector Boards.

John believes it’s important to understand why you are seeking board positions and what you can offer a board. This briefing, will explore the opportunities available, qualities that boards look for when recruiting new members and defining and leveraging your director brand.

The Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) is working in partnership with The Department of The Chief Minister to seek out a diverse pool of candidates, who would be suitable for appointment to various Northern Territory Government (NTG) boards and committees.

NTG boards and committees play an important role in providing independent and expert governance or advice - they provide an effective link between government and the community. AICD will conduct complimentary briefings held across the Territory to explore very practical ways in establishing your directorship pathway.

Whether you are an aspiring, emerging or experienced Director these briefings will be a perfect chance to put yourself on the radar.

Other Briefing locations:

  • Nhulunbuy, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek.
