Luke Broomhall

Forensic Psychologist

Luke Broomhall is a Forensic Psychologist who started in workers compensation and workplace consulting, then “went to jail” (as an employee!) to work with some of the most serious offenders in Australia and now uses his expertise to assist Courts and Organisations to understand and manage aberrant personality characteristics. He is the past chair of the Australian Psychological Society College of Forensic Psychology (SA Branch) and presenter at Tedx Adelaide 2015.

Luke has conducted personality profiling assessments in complex criminal matters in South Australia and provides expert medico-legal opinion. His opinion is regularly sought in legal circles when examining the impact of personality and mental health problems in criminal behaviour. He is currently the Director of PsychCheck; providing pre-employment Psychological Suitability Assessments for government and private organisations.

Luke has a particular interest in managing complex personality issues in the workplace (including ‘corporate psychopathy’), developing individual skills for success in leadership and training in managing mental health in the workplace.

With the ever-increasing pressures on organisations to perform, there has never been a more important time for Directors and Leaders to focus on workplace culture.

The culture of an organisation is driven by Individual behaviours, and being able to better understand these triggers, impacts and the potential reputational risk is critical.

Luke is a registered psychologist with over 15 years’ experience in forensic psychology and organisational consulting, and is the past chair of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) College of Forensic Psychology (SA Branch).

His opinion is regularly sought in legal circles when examining the impact of mental health problems in criminal behaviour and presents a regular Psychology segment on 891 ABC Adelaide Drive Program. He has a unique insight into human behaviours and how to get the best from different personality styles. Luke has a dynamic and engaging presentation style, drawing from academic literature, clinical and organisational experience.

Luke has a particular interest in managing personality disorders in the workplace (or ‘corporate psychopathy’), developing individual skills for success in management, and group training in managing mental health in the workplace.
