Mary Verschuer FAICD

Chair, The Infants Home

Mary is an experienced non-executive director with a background as an international CEO. She is currently on the board of ASX listed Maxitrans, she is Chair of The Infants Home and is on the NSW TAFE Sydney region advisory board. Previously she has had a number of other board roles including two ASX roles; Nuplex (ASX:NPX), a leading global resins business and THC Global (ASX:THC) a start-up in the medicinal cannabis space, a CRC, various industry associations and subsidiary boards.

Her board experience includes capital management, acquisitions and divestments, OHSE and sustainability oversight, non-financial risk management, CEO and board selection, IPO, governance of innovation, crisis management and strategy renewal. She has experience as an audit and risk chair, and member of people and safety committees.

She had extensive international P&L roles with success based on strategic, operational, R&D and governance expertise. As a CEO she has a strong track record of leading and growing manufacturing businesses through difficult economic and cultural challenges, continually fostering innovation and integrating acquisitions successfully. This included time on the ground in Asia and working with many different cultures and governance frameworks across all continents.

Mary also mentors CEOs with the CEO Institute and Kilfinan Australia.
