About the Australian Governance Summit

Following our sell-out 2016 inaugural Summit, we are pleased to bring you the latest thinking on the current and emerging issues facing today’s organisations and the strategies needed to respond to these challenges.

The 2017 Summit will be held at the world-class Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Melbourne Convention Centre

Located in the heart of Melbourne on the banks of the Yarra River, the Melbourne Convention Centre is close to the central business district, shopping and restaurants, and adjacent to the Crown Entertainment Complex.


On arrival

The registration desk will be located on the ground floor in the foyer of the Melbourne Convention Centre. On arrival please proceed to the registration desk to pick up your Australian Governance Summit registration pack


Accommodation

There are a number of accommodation providers in close proximity to the Melbourne Convention Centre.

Hilton Melbourne South Wharf is adjacent to the venue.

Crowne Plaza Melbourne is approximately 650m from the venue, across the Yarra River.

Crown Melbourne is approximately 1km from the venue and an easy walk along the Yarra Promenade.

Getting there

Melbourne Airport operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing maximum flexibility in scheduling domestic and international travel.

Transportation

The SkyBus express bus service to the city operates 24/7 and runs every 10 minutes. Taxi’s are also available from the airport. The journey into the city takes approximately 20 minutes

Getting around Melbourne

Trams run along Spencer, Clarendon and Flinders Streets. Trains: Southern Cross Station is a seven minute walk from the MCEC. Taxi ranks are located outside all major hotels within the CBD, Southern Cross Station, Crown Casino Complex and Hilton Hotel South Wharf.

Cancellation policy

Read more about our cancellation policy for the Australian Governance Summit.

If a member would like to cancel their registration they may be entitled to a refund in some instances

  • Up to and including 31 December 2016 – full refund

  • From 1 January 2017 – 31 January 2017 – 50% refund

  • From 1 February 2017 – 14 February 2017 – no refund available, substitution only

  • From 15 February 2017 – Registrations closed, no substitution allowed

Registrations cannot be split between members, where a non-member is substituting a member the difference in fees will be invoiced.

Cancellations incurred as a result of family bereavement or medical emergencies will be considered on a case by case basis. Please contact Nicky Leadley, Manager Conference & Forums.
