This half-day course provides directors and senior executives with information on the commercial, legal and strategic issues faced when considering a merger or acquisition in the not-for-profit sector.

By engaging in case studies, group work and table discussion, participants will learn to assess the suitability of a proposed merger or acquisition, and gain the skills to successfully guide their organisation through this transition.

Who should attend?

This course is suitable for directors of not-for-profit organisations. We recommend that participants complete the Foundations of Directorship, the Company Directors Course™ or Governance Foundations for Not-for-Profit Directors before undertaking this short course.

Mode of Study

Tables are configured in cabaret style, allowing group work and table discussion. Class sizes are customarily limited to a maximum of 25 people.


This course is held over 3.5 hours.
