Phil is also a Director of ANZ Stadium and Chairman of FrontRow Group, a corporate hospitality, events and sponsorship company. Phil captained the Wallabies ten times from 1989 to 1999 and played in 67 test matches for Australia.
Phil will share his experiences from the corporate world, including how he brings the knowledge gained as captain of the Wallabies to his business career. Phil will touch on the issues of trust and culture, as well as leadership, both on and off the field. He will also share some of his challenges over his long sports and business career, and how he overcame them.

Phil Kearns AM GAICD, Managing Director, InterRISK Australia
Phil Kearns AM GAICD is the Managing Director at InterRISK Australia. He is also a Director of ANZ Stadium and Chairman of FrontRow Group, a corporate hospitality, events and sponsorship company. Phil Kearns has more than 10 years’ experience leading financial service organisations from Investment Banking and Capital Raising, to Private Wealth and Insurance. In his previous position as Chief Executive Officer at Centric Wealth, Phil was successful in achieving a major transformation of the business which was owned by private equity firm CHAMP.
Phil served 12 years as a Director of the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia and is deeply involved in the Humpty Dumpty Foundation in Australia, which helps save the lives of sick and injured children in hospitals across Australia. He is credited with being the brain behind the Sydney charity event, The Balmoral Burn, an annual event which has raised $27.5 million to buy lifesaving medical equipment for children’s medical facilities across Australia.
He is also a Commentator with FoxSports on all things rugby. Prior to his business career, Phil played 67 tests for the Wallabies from 1989 to 1999, during which he captained the team 10 times.
Phil has an Arts Degree majoring in Economic and Economic History from the University of NSW.
