Bodo Mann joined the AICD in October 2016 from White Room Associates, his boutique consulting firm specialising in strategy and management consulting. Bodo is an experienced executive with over 20 years’ working with ASX 100 and global blue chip clients across Australasia and Europe. Bodo commenced his professional career with GE before spending eight years with Booz & Company initially in Europe then moving to Australia and working as part of their Australasian Management Team. Bodo has since worked with Spencer Stuart as an Executive Search and Leadership Consultant before taking the position of Managing Director at Rubik Financial Limited.

Bodo brings deep industry experience as an experienced strategy and operations consultant and director. This experience expands to industries including high-end strategy, operations and customer experience consulting, technology and financial services, wealth management and retail banking, as well as functional expertise in areas such as productivity, customer experience, sales and distribution, technology, strategy based transformation and post-merger integration.

Gabrielle Schroder

Gabrielle Schroder GAICD joined the AICD in March 2008 as NSW State Manager. In June 2015, she commenced the establishment of a new stream of governance consultancy services for boards and executive teams. She has developed and led several governance initiatives including the development of the AICD’s proprietary tool, the Governance Analysis Tool™.

Gabrielle’s background incorporates twenty years of management experience in the business and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining AICD, Gabrielle was Group Manager at the NSW State Chamber of Commerce responsible for membership development, corporate and public sector investment, programming and events. Gabrielle is also Deputy Chair of the National Heart Foundation of Australia (NSW Division) and a Campaign Ambassador for the Women and Heart Disease Campaign.

Mark James has over 30 years’ experience in the not-for-profit sector in Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom, as well as in banking, finance and insurance. In the not-for-profit sector (NFP), Mark’s experience lies in executive education training and management. He has worked on extensive high-profile engagements with both senior management and boards across a range of industries in the sector. Mark brings a broad range of technical skill and experience ranging from governance, finance, strategy, marketing and business improvement to the role of NFP Sector Manager.

Matthew Smithers

Matthew Smithers has extensive experience working for and in partnership with government on a range of large-scale international and domestic projects. Over the course of his career, Matthew co-ordinated lobbying and business development activities for a range of international convention centres and bureaux before moving to Australia to commence work as International Bid Manager for the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre. Most recently, Matthew worked for the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads, where he managed the Transport State Planning Program and implemented the Planning Community of Practice – a community of practice for planning managers and directors within the Department.

Clinton is a non executive director of Playgroup Victoria, chairs a leading South Australian primary School and sits as a member of the Minister for Innovation & Trade’s Small Business round table in South Australia.

With a background in brand management and direct response marketing for consumer goods, Carleen is passionate about the use of data- and consumer-driven insights for better business decision making.
